A woman’s workplace and the definition of sexual harassment under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 are as follows:

  1. Making physical contact and advances or
  2. Making a demand or request for sexual favors or
  3. Making sexually colored remarks or
  4. Showing pornography or
  5. Engaging in any other unwelcoming verbal or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature or
  6. Using insulting, derogatory, or abusive language towards women that violates their dignity.

If a person engages in any of the above types of unwelcome, humiliating conduct towards you at the workplace, then you can submit a complaint for redressal to the Internal Committee which has been constituted as follows:
