Non-teaching employees shall:

  • Discharge duties efficiently and respectfully while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Maintain confidentiality of institutional records and processes.
  • Avoid any activity that disrupts the working environment or contributes to groupism.
  • Communicate politely with students, colleagues and assist in routine academic or administrative functions.

1.Prohibited Behavior (Zero Tolerance)

The following acts are strictly prohibited and shall attract disciplinary action:

  • Verbal abuse, shouting, or loud arguments in professional settings.
  • Physical altercations or threatening behaviour.
  • Wilful misuse and damage to institutional property or spreading false rumours.
  • Bias or discrimination based on gender, caste, religion, language, or ideology.
  • Consumption of alcohol or drugs on campus.

2.Responsibilities of the Director / Administrative Officers

  1. Foster a respectful and dignified work environment that upholds professional standards at all times.
  2. Address reported incidents of misconduct promptly, impartially, and in accordance with institutional procedures.
  3. Refrain from engaging in harsh or confrontational communication with staff or faculty members in the presence of students or colleagues, in order to maintain decorum and professional integrity.

3.Grievance and Escalation

  1. Any grievance must be submitted in writing to the Internal Grievance Committee.
  2. Whistleblowers and complainants will be protected from retaliation.
  3. Appeals on disciplinary actions can be submitted to the Director for review.

4.Additional Directives

  • All employees must attend official meetings, events, and institutional activities on time unless excused formally.
  • No staff member may affiliate with political or religious organizations in a manner that compromises institutional neutrality.
